New Chapters

Significant other and I have decided to take the nuptial trains to the chapel (masjid?), leading to my recent "merisik" ceremony in August. The men's side rombongan, which included my future husbands (!) parents, sister and BIL, aunty and uncle, and two cousins, came all the way from Kuantan to our family home in U Thant, all decked in blue (everyone's outfits were hand made by my future MIL!) and met my family for the first time. Everyone had a good chat , my dad gave a sermon (typical) and then had lunch before they headed back to the East Coast.  Very relaxed, very casual, just how I wanted it. Didn't want to make a big fuss about the whole thing in fear of jinxing myself hehe. Even got a few scoldings from close friends who had absolutely no idea what was going on, sorry guys! :))

Isn't my tepak sirih just so beautiful! Crafted with love by Team Mak Cinta aka my beautiful mommies Sofia and Ieja especially for this occasion. I absolutely love it, and I also love the ring that came with it too! ;) Sooo... my life now basically revolves around work, wedding planning, and setting up house ( that's a whole new entry on it's own I'm guessing). 6 months countdown starts... NOW!

Surprise dinner

Thinking of ideas of hosting my mother's surprise birthday dinner for her and a couple of her close friends.. Bouncing ideas of the top of my head as I always do before I physically come up with a proper theme. So excited for it! Hope mama enjoys it : )

Boredom Strikes Back

Looking forward to another holiday this year. Granted, it's been a good year thus far with regards to holidays; Thank goodness for Klinik Kesihatan and my 8-5 government servant job. Annual leave PLUS weekends and public holidays off ensure that i get to travel, albeit not as much as i want, but at this rate i take what i can get yo. This year started off early with Phuket in January then Melbourne in July (I MISS IT!), and I'm hoping our annual family trip at the end of the year won't get cancelled last minute like last year.. what a bummer! In any case, leave has been approved (has it really? I don't know, need to double check this) so in the unforeseen case that it does get cancelled, 2 weeks of bumming without work does not sound half bad!

That's it I guess. Still dying in this freezer in Pudu, but Marrybrown kept me company for lunchtime so there's a bit of burning fuel there still...

I've learnt from my 28 years of living that I will not put up with shit that is served to me, and if I can foresee shit coming my way, I have all the right to duck or jump or keanu-reeves-matrix-back-bend to ensure that shit does not land it's little shit paws on me, and that all the shit in my past has an express pass into my selective memory box, of which there is no longer a key, because I ate it, then shat it out, then flushed it down a toilet.

Doing all of this is not easy. It takes wisdom. And I take full credit for this said wisdom because hell, it is most definitely earned, and it will only come with a lot of shit handling in your past.

So yes, saya memang memilih. But truth be told, it's a privilege that i feel i have earned so sock it up and move on. Sekian, terima kasih.
